This course is designed to give professionals an understanding of the role of a Designated Safeguarding Officer. It will look at the roles and responsibilities and the importance of providing young people with an emotionally and physically safe space in the organisations that they represent.
It will look at managing disclosure and the appropriate decisions that need to be made if a child makes a disclosure or a child is deemed to be at risk. Additionally, it will look at appropriate information sharing and above all give a comprehensive overview of safeguarding young people.
