This course is a comprehensive guide to understanding what attachment means, and how to navigate forming attachments when a child or young person has experienced trauma. This course looks extensively at different parenting models, including the PACE model, and explains how to broach behavioural difficulties with a traumatised child. The course also explains the impacts of trauma on child development, including physiologically, mentally, physically, emotionally, socially, and more. This course concludes with how to look after yourself as a guardian/carer and how to practice self care.
