Legionnaires' disease is a severe form of pneumonia — lung inflammation usually caused by infection. It got its name from an infamous breakout of the disease in America in the 1970s. Though quite rare in the UK, Legionnaires' disease can lead to a number of life-threatening complications.
This course will look at where the disease comes from, the symptoms, and the common complications that can result from it. It will also look at the legal responsibilities and the process of risk assessment.
