Description & Learning objectives

This course is a comprehensive guide to understanding tics and Tourette’s syndrome. The course explains what both conditions are and how they differ. The different tics that can exist, such as simple motor tics or complex vocal tics are explored, as well as the potential causes, including genetics. There is also some useful guidance on other conditions associated with tics and Tourette’s, such as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

The learning objectives are as follows:

  • To understand the potential causes of tics
  • To know about the other conditions associated with tics
