Grooming has long been taught as a linear process that moves from targeting a child, to befriending them and creating a loving and trusting friendship, before moving into a secret, intimate relationship which enables the sex offender to abuse the child. This course will challenge that narrative. Instead, professionals will learn about forensic psychological studies and evidence from child sexual exploitation cases that shows a very different picture.
