In the event of a child or young person being abused, carers need to be there to offer effective support to the very best of their ability. This course will look at the barriers to recovery for survivors of abuse, and how carers can work together to reduce trauma, prevent re-victimisation, and support improved health and wellbeing. The course will enable learners to understand how they can build resilience in children and young people, and sustain their recovery.
