This course is designed for people that want to get a better understanding of sexual violence, what it means, and its impact on a victim. The course includes several different types of sexual violence including rape, sexual assault, child abuse, and historic child abuse.
The course gives those wanting to better support victims of sexual violence increased confidence and a journey through the eyes of a victim. It explores barriers to reporting sexual violence for both adults and children, and tools and resources to engage and support those affected.
The course uses a combination of written resources, video resources, and group work. All learners are provided with a handbook and certificate at the end of the course.
During the course, learners are asked to reflect on relationships (past and present) in their own lives and those they have come across to enhance their learning further.
